About

In 1906 a team of scientists began secretly experimenting with human genomes, trying to create a real live superhero with superhuman strength who could fly, move objects with telekinesis, and bend space and time to his or her very will.

Unfortunately, most of these experiments produced disturbing mutations and certain of these scientists went on to write comic books while others, taking pity on the mutants, took them to a land where they could be free and accepted as they were. Many descendants of these mutants can still be found hanging around the fringes, and sometimes right in the centre, of the Hollywood movie scene.

But, in 1983, a breakthrough! The scientists did it! A baby girl was born who possessed all the desired abilities and, after just under 18 years of nurturing, they released this miracle superhero into the world at large, crossed their fingers and hoped for the best.

Yet something unforeseen occurred. The superhero, instead of using her powers for good, and not even bothering to use them for evil which would seem the more logical second choice, instead she turned away from them entirely and decided to try writing books for people just like to read. So…yeah. Enjoy!
