In no particular order, all will open in a new window, and there’ll be more on the way, but for now have fun with these:
Giant in the Playground - home of the Order of the Stick comics, they’re brilliant - spot your geek level by how many jokes you understand
St George’s - my church in Stoke
The Malt Cross - cafe bar, my fave place to hang out and write in Nottingham
Keele Postgraduate Association - same as above but at Keele Uni where I am now
Join Me - commit random acts of kindness! And meet up with other joinees and go to the pub!
National Novel Writers Month - NaNoWriMo, every November, write a 50k word novel
UK organics - orgnaic and fair trade stuff at decent prices
Post Secret - started as a community arts project, updated every Sunday; people send in a secret that they need to let out on a postcard and other people read the ones that are put up,; sometimes they’re sad, sometimes they’re happy, always they’re thought-provoking
White Ninja Comics - the white ninja…odd, surreal, strange, yet fascinating and funny
Trees for Life - replanting the Caledonian Forest
Peter Callesen - good artist; check out the sections of papercuts (that’s papercuts as in art made from cutting out stuff on a single sheet of paper, rather than the more painful kind, though I’m sure he’s got some of them in his time too)
Games I’m currently playing - updated every so often
Kingdom of Loathing - rpg game, but not like other rpgs - in fact, more of a nickey-take on all the other rpgs, and a good game to boot!
Cantr II - A different kind of roleplay game - not your usual leveling up, fighting bad guys thing, but a text-based world where you make your character(s) and have an actual life - eat, sleep, make friends, build things (or steal things and kill people, if you really must), etc.
Human Age - start off in the prehistoric times and evolve through 5 separate ages
Games I got bored of - doesn’t mean they’re not worth playing, just means I already played them long enough.
Trukz - A trucking simulation game, fairly casual, a bit of fun.
Molehill Empire - make your own little garden center.
The West - basically? Be a cowboy, build a town, duel other cowboys…
Alpha Bounce - Breakout style rpg game
My Brute - very quick gameplay, spend 5 minutes a day trying to beat up other Brutes in the arena.
